Events
Coffee mornings, fun days, and information events for families of children and young people with SEND in Slough. Most are free, all are welcome, and you never need to book to just turn up and say hello.
Four kinds of get-together
Some run to a rhythm, some come round once a year. If you’re new, a coffee morning is the easiest place to start.
Coffee mornings
Drop in, have a brew, talk to parents who get it. Council SEND staff often come along, so you can ask them things directly.
MonthlyÂ
Information days
Discuss local services under one roof, EHCP guidance, short talks, and have time to ask questions properly.
Once a yearÂ
Fun days
Activities, quiet spaces and a place to relax and enjoy your time with your child and other parent carers.
Seasonally
Workshops & forums
Join us for training sessions ran by us and local services and engage in co-production in order to have your say.
Throughout the year
Some of this we do with the council
We’re the recognised parent carer forum for Slough, which means part of our job is working with local services and authorities to make your voice heard.
- Events co-produced with Slough Borough Council are marked with the category In partnership on the event listing.
- Council officials regularly attend our coffee mornings. Where they’re confirmed, we say so, so you know when to bring your questions.
- Any points and views held about how local services are ran can be forwarded through us. Please note, individual casework however isn’t handled by the forum.
